Proposal Coordinator IIIThe Proposal Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development, coordination, and submission of customer proposals in response to government and commercial opportunities. This role works closely with Business Development, Contracts, Finance, Production, Operations, Program Management, and other internal stakeholders to ensure proposals are accurate, compliant, and submitted within required deadlines. The Proposal Coordinator also supports customer relationship management activities and assists in coordinating business forecasts across functional groups to support operational planning and execution.Duties/ResponsibilitiesDevelop and submit management, technical, cost, etc.
proposals in response to customer requirements, solicitations, and requests for quotation (RFQs)Manage proposal activities to include development/management of schedules, compliance matrices, proposal templates/annotated proposal outlines, kick-off meetings, and color reviewsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain proposal inputs and supporting dataAssist in preparing proposal documents, pricing support materials, customer responses, and other business development and proposal documentationProvides Desktop Publishing and overarching document quality control during all phases of the capture/proposal processProvides support, as required, during all stages of capture/proposal development processes, from opportunity identification through submission. Provides guidance and expertise to subject matter experts (SMEs) and proposal team members on various proposal sections, to include technical responses, management plans, executive summaries, past performances, and resumes. Acts as the primary editor on proposal deliverables, when requested.
Reviews all communication for grammar, formatting, punctuation, etc.Support the communication/coordination of business forecasts across Contracts, Production, Operations, and Program Management to promote alignment on anticipated workload and customer demandMaintain proposal files, templates, historical data, and other supporting documentation in SharePoint for future business opportunitiesSupport continuous improvement of proposal processes, tools, and templates to improve efficiency, quality, and consistencyDevelops and adheres to company style guide(s) and reinforces use of such style guides by proposal authors / contributorsPerform other duties as assignedBasic RequirementsRelevant bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office products and ability to quickly learn software application packages used by the various projects5+ years proposal work experience (e.g., desktop publishing, production, etc.) supporting response to Government solicitationsDemonstrated knowledge of Cost Proposals, including direct/indirect pricing build-upAbility to work independently and under pressure to meet extremely aggressive deadlines and production schedulesAbility to work effectively (adaptable and flexible) in a fast-paced corporate environment, sometimes with minimal specific guidance and/or technical informationDemonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work with internal and external SMEs and apply professional SME interviewing techniques.Demonstrated experience completing projects in accordance with project plans and schedulesAbility to effectively work as a member of a cross-functional teamAbility to obtain and maintain a security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.Preferred QualificationsActive Security ClearanceAbility to understand how factors gleaned from research and information provided by SMEs relate to customer requirements, typically in relation to new contract or task order pursuits.Physical RequirementsAbility to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time.Ability to operate a computer and other standard office equipment.Ability to occasionally move files and materials weighing up to 15 pounds.The salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $110,200.00.
