Property and Casualty Underwriter

Demonstrating a global perspective, the full-time Underwriter - Alternative Markets will underwrite medical professional liability insurance for groups and facilities, focusing on developing a profitable book of business while collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Analyzes information and exposures to make decisions on account acceptance and classification Approves applications, renewals, and endorsements, determining appropriate rating plans and calculating premiums Develops relationships with agent broker partners and coordinates training sessions on underwriting processes Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; CPCU and/or RPLU studies preferred 4+ years of Medical Professional Liability underwriting experience required Active Property and Casualty Producers license Ability to analyze and interpret a variety of industry-related documents and reports Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications as needed
