Senior Accountant/Property AccountantThe Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations for multiple commercial real estate entities and reporting directly to the Controller and executive leadership. This role will manage monthly financial reporting, cash management, and property accounting functions.Key ResponsibilitiesExperience with MRI or Yardi accounting software requiredPrepare financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, journal entries, and comparative financial reportsPrepare and analyze cash flow statementsCompile financial reporting packages for partners and leadership, including analysis of variances and transactionsAssist with preparation and management of annual budgets for multiple entities and partnershipsOversee daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, company credit cards, and third-party property accountingMonitor and review all entity bank accounts and manage transfers between accountsRecord expenses, accruals, prepaid expenses, and depositsMaintain the general ledger and perform monthly balance sheet and account reconciliationsCalculate and track management fee splits for owners and partnersGenerate invoices and payments related to property management feesProcess biweekly payroll, including benefit contributions to third-party administratorsPrepare available cash calculations and distribute reports to property managers and owners for reviewProcess EFT payments and vendor invoicesCoordinate documentation and support for year-end tax preparation with the CPA firmLead and coordinate annual audit processesSupport investor and ownership reporting requirementsCollaborate with property managers, owners, and financial institutions as neededEnsure all accounting activities comply with GAAP standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred3–5 years of accounting experienceExperience in real estate development or property management accounting strongly preferredExperience with Yardi or MRI accounting systemsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $75,000 – $100,000Benefits include:401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off
