nWe are searching for a lead property accountant to manage the accounting records for a portfolio of properties. The management of the financial records for each community is a key role in our service to assist the community's Board of Directors.
nThe responsibilities include:

- Develop an understanding of the budget and unique accounting issues for each assigned property n
- Support and partner with property managers to meet the accounting needs of assigned properties, including budget development n
- Serve as lead accountant for assigned properties n
- Coordinate accounting processes with other team members in the department n
- Review and analyze monthly financial statements and make adjustments as necessary to ensure error-free statements are presented to Boards and property owners. n
- Analyze and resolve various accounting issues as they arise n
- Process certain receipts and certain invoices payable n
- Process bank transfers n
- Perform various accounting tasks unique to certain properties n
- Perform or review bank reconciliations n
- Process transactions for home ownership transfers n
- Respond to questions from property managers, Board members, homeowners, property owners, and vendors. n
Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field n
- Two years of experience in general accounting functions including account analysis n
- Knowledge of AppFolio Property Manager software is desirable but not required. n
