Property Accountant
Chicago, IL (In-Office, Mon–Thu)
Up to $85K base + bonus
A growing commercial real estate and property management firm is adding a Property Accountant to their team. This firm has placed several people in this group before, so there's a track record of making it a good landing spot for the right fit.
What you'd be doing:
- Owning the full accounting cycle for an assigned portfolio of properties, from monthly close through owner reporting
- Preparing financial statements and variance analysis for the properties you support
- Handling AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and CAM reconciliations
- Working closely with the property management team to keep the numbers clean and current
What they want to see:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Property Accountant (real estate/property accounting background required)
- Comfortable owning a portfolio with real independence
- Strong attention to detail and solid Excel skills
