Project Surveyor (II)As a Project Surveyor (II), you will be an integral part of Bryant Associates Land Survey Department in our Lincoln, RI office, where you will coordinate and execute survey work on behalf of clients in a timely, accurate and cost-efficient manner.The Project Surveyor (II) will perform field and office production work related to the management of survey projects including scheduling and budgeting of personnel and resources as needed for the successful completion of projects. Project Surveyor (II) is also responsible for quality control and assurance (QA/QC). They may also work closely with project team members and clients to lead, prepare, and participate in project proposals.Responsibilities:Act as project manager with regard to project budgets, setting, maintaining and upholding standards, estimation of projects, map preparation and coordination of field and office schedulingProvide guidance to Survey Crews and junior Project Surveyors (Project Surveyor I) and Survey Technician(s) in order to complete daily survey assignments correctly and proficientlySupport surveying and mapping activities for boundary surveys, topographic mapping and construction staking projectsPrepare instructions and support information, as well as review field notes and staking information for completeness and clarityHelp grow departmental revenue by strengthening relationships with professional contacts and existing clientsWill assist engineer in outlining objectives, requirements and design approachesResponsible for gathering engineering data from a variety of sourcesWill attend project and pre-construction meetings and provide input to ensure proper policies, procedures and specifications are followedCoordinate and share work with other outlying offices as directedMust be able to manage multiple projects and teamsSolicit, respond and prepare proposals for servicesParticipate and facilitate meetings with stakeholders and clientsAssist in project deliverables as appropriateWork in a safe manner and obey all safety regulationsContinually advance knowledge with upgrades in technologyComplete internal and external training as requiredRequired Skills & Abilities:Prior survey experience working on projects for transportation, civil/site, environmental, utility, and structural engineeringProven ability to research and compile record information such as record maps, legal descriptions, utility information and right of any dataStrong leadership & communication skills, work ethic, dependabilityMust have strong supervisory skillsAbility to gather and organize survey research and recordsAbility to read and interpret engineering plans and construction documentsAbility to prepare calculations and instructions for field workAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyMust be proficient with the use of survey equipment.
