Germann Rd, Chandler, AZ 85286.The Project Superintendent is responsible for providing on-site leadership and management of all field activities throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the design, budget, and schedule.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Gather and document daily quantities from Foreman and SubcontractorsDiscuss daily activities and 3-week look ahead schedules with Project Managers and Project EngineersCoordinate daily and weekly schedules with ForemanConduct routine site safety inspections to ensure project sites are kept clear of hazards and proper safety protocols are followedReview JHA's and work plans with Project Manager and ForemanCoordinate manpower and equipment needs with Trade SuperintendentsVisit and maintain relationships with owners' representatives and ensure proper notification is given for inspectionsAssist Project Managers and Project Engineers with daily productions and costsCoordinate and track subcontractor daily activities, manpower, and safetyEnsure Foreman are completing daily paperwork required accuratelySchedule all project material needs through DCS DispatchSchedule all project equipment and manpower needs through Trade SuperintendentTake photos of project progress and send to PM/PE to be saved in appropriate project folderVerify SWPPP and Dust needs are completed with accuracyCoordinate all new hires, crew needs, disciplinary actions, and terminations with Trade Superintendent and Field Operations ManagerParticipate in project kickoff meetings when assigned to a new projectAssist PM/PEs with change orders for new or changes in scope of workCoordinate and maintain all AZ 811 (Bluestake) utility locatesAssist PM/PEs with subcontractor pre-con meetingsResponsible for ensuring projects are following company safety policies and OSHA safety standardsPrepare and submit all reports such as theft, utility hits and incidentsInventory all shipments prior to unloading from supplierInventory and document all rental equipment before it is returned (inspect and document prior to taking possessionRequired skills, abilities, education, and experience include:Ability to read and interpret blueprintsAbility to communicate professionally and effectively through all mediums to staff, management, peers, clients, business partnersExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to act confidently and decisivelyTeam leader with excellent communication skills and ability to handle and resolve conflicts effectivelyStrong ability to multitask and prioritize workload efficientlyBachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college, technical school, or university in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent experience in a similar construction positionA minimum of 7 years of construction related experience with a general contractor performing underground wet utility installation, concrete, and/or grading and paving work.Basic computer skills are requiredPossess a thorough understanding or job cost reportsSelf-perform construction management experienceKnowledge of CPM Project Scheduling, MS Office Suite, including MS ProjectKnowledge of crew configurations and labor productionsUnderstanding of MAG, MCDOT, ADOT, MCAQD, ADEQ and Greater Phoenix Municipal StandardsKnowledge of Arizona Heavy Civil marketUnderstanding of BluestakeAdditional information includes:Company truck and fuel card provided upon acceptable driving background checkCell phone and tablet providedThis is a Safety-Sensitive Position.
