Position Title: Project Scheduler

Locations: Remote - Must sit within Western NC (Required travel to surrounding power plants across Charlotte, Asheville, Winston-Salem, and Greensboro, NC)

Contract Duration: 1 year contract with extensions up to 3 years

Compensation: $45.00/hr to $52.00/hr (Overtime pay & per diem is included)

Job Overview:

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support a large energy company. This role will collaborate with multiple power-generation stations, with an emphasis on combined-cycle and coal-station operations. The Project Scheduler will partner closely with maintenance teams, project managers, and plant operations personnel to develop, manage, and optimize project and outage schedules using Primavera P6.

Responsibilities:

• Build and manage project and outage schedules for 2 to 3 assigned stations.
• Manage back-end scheduling work to help ensure tasks and resources are accurate.
• Partner with maintenance teams to incorporate planned and unplanned work.
• Serve as the primary scheduler for one major outage while supporting 1 to 2 additional projects.
• Communicate clearly and consistently with station leadership and stakeholders.
• Update schedules as work progresses and as scope, priorities, or resources change.

Required Qualifications

• Project scheduling/project controls experience.
• Experience working in a power-generation environment.
• Working knowledge of plant operations, maintenance workflows, and station systems.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Ability to manage multiple schedules across several sites simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, project management, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience in combined-cycle and/or coal-station environments.
• PMP certification.
