Building more capabilities with streaming and lastly move everything over to cloud.High-Level Individual Duties:Completely middle tier / backendThere is a backlog based on project delivery…they will follow that backlog to make sure everything gets done in the right amount of timeTimeline / Current–State: Wrap everything that comes up based on the project as well as start a cloud migrationDevelopment Methodology: Agile – 2 weeksMust-Haves (Concepts & Tools):Java (SE8) / J2EESpring / SpringbootGit/JenkinsCloud skills – they want these to be CTH and someone would need some cloud in order to get picked upMQ / streaming skills – they are using Kafka but are ok with conceptual knowledgeThere is a QE team, but the Engineers do all of their own Unit Tests as well as get more involved in testing.SQL skills, specifically performance tuningNice-to-Haves (Concepts & Tools):Java 11AzureKafka – producer consumer APIsOracle / Mongo – on Oracle not and moving to Mongo in the cloudJunior/Mid Role• Java/J2EE • SQL • Application Developer • Proficient in MS Office, VisioSenior Role• 7+ years of coding experience with one or more of the following languages Java, C#, C/C++, Go, Python or JavaScript with a willingness and ability to learn new ones • Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals: unit testing, code reviews, telemetry, agile and DevOps • Experience working with three or more of the following: continuous integration / continuous delivery tools, REST API development, serverless architecture, containerization, IaC, public / private cloud, application observability and/or messaging / stream architecture • Experience with polyglot storage architectures including relational, columnar, key-value, graph or the like • Experience delivering applications using componentized and distributed architectures • Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical, globally-distributed audiences • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
