• Job Description:
• We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong background in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance to lead complex technology initiatives from planning through successful delivery.
• The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing cross-functional technical teams, coordinating multiple workstreams, driving project execution, managing risks and dependencies, and communicating effectively with business and technology stakeholders.
• P&C insurance experience is mandatory for this position.
• Key Responsibilities
• Project Planning & Execution
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate multiple technical and business workstreams to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor project progress and proactively address delays, resource constraints, and delivery challenges.
• Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality and business requirements.
• Technical & Cross-Functional Leadership
• Coordinate teams across technology, engineering, data, application development, infrastructure, and business functions.
• Work closely with technical leads and subject matter experts to understand project requirements, dependencies, and delivery considerations.
• Translate business objectives into actionable project plans and technical workstreams.
• Facilitate collaboration across multiple teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Requirements & Workstream Management
• Gather, document, prioritize, and track project requirements.
• Manage dependencies across multiple workstreams and ensure clear ownership of deliverables.
• Maintain project documentation, schedules, action items, and status reports.
• Ensure traceability from requirements through implementation and project completion.
• Stakeholder Management & Communication
• Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, technology teams, leadership, and external partners.
• Provide regular project status updates to senior leadership.
• Communicate project milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions clearly and effectively.
• Facilitate project meetings, steering committee meetings, and stakeholder reviews.
• RAID & Risk Management
• Maintain and actively manage RAID logs covering Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
• Escalate critical issues and dependencies appropriately.
• Monitor project health and proactively communicate delivery concerns.
• Budget & Resource Management
• Track project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate internal and external project resources.
• Monitor vendor deliverables, timelines, and contractual commitments where applicable.
• Ensure effective utilization of project resources.
• P&C Insurance Domain
• Apply knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance processes and technology to project planning and delivery.
• Collaborate with business teams across areas such as underwriting, policy administration, claims, billing, rating, and insurance operations.
• Understand the impact of technology initiatives on P&C business processes and customer outcomes.
• Project Governance
• Establish and maintain appropriate project governance, reporting, and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to organizational project management standards and methodologies.
• Support Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies as appropriate.
• Track project KPIs, milestones, deliverables, and overall project health.
• Required Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in Project Management, with significant experience managing technical/IT projects.
• Mandatory experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance.
• Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional technology initiatives.
• Strong experience with project planning, execution, scheduling, and delivery.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams and technical teams.
• Strong experience with RAID management, risk management, issue resolution, and dependency tracking.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Rally, or similar platforms.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with P&C insurance platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar insurance technology platforms.
• Experience with policy administration, claims, underwriting, billing, rating, or insurance data initiatives.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or similar project management certification.
