Project Manager for Water and Wastewater Infrastructure ProjectsOur client is seeking a Project Manager for water and wastewater infrastructure projects to join our team in the Carolinas (Charleston, Charlotte, Columbia, or Greenville). This individual will serve as project manager and/or technical lead on municipal drinking and wastewater projects.FoundationalBuilds on extensive technical foundations with expectation to make significant contributions to the team efforts for the benefit of the clientDemonstrates ability to evaluate, select, and apply standards, techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects with few complex featuresUnderstands technical requirements needed in the design of a project and how various disciplines are integrated to meet the needs of the clientIndependent performer on most assignmentsTechnicalLead multidisciplinary teams to provide studiesProvide planning and design services for water/wastewater utilitiesProvide technical design for water/wastewater treatment projects and technical support to the design team to ensure efficiency, quality, and performance to fulfill project requirementsDeliver engineering calculations, project coordination, write engineering specifications, establish appropriate design methods, report preparation and coordination, equipment sizing and selection while working directly with clientsDrive profitability of projects and satisfaction of clients through quality work and on-time / on-budget deliveryCoordinate with leadership on staffing and workload through entire project development to complete documents on scheduleConduct QA/QC of all documents and reports, verifying accuracy of data, information and calculationsPrepare and oversee detailed construction document packages and provide technical leadership for all deliverables for clientSupport marketing efforts through client engagement, responsiveness and strong delivery of projectsAssist with proposals to provide professional services, including preparation of scopes, budgets and schedules for assignmentsProfessional CompetenciesClient and Customer FocusAssist in learning the needs of assigned clients.Understand the profession's ethical obligation to Client and the public welfareAssist with reviewing and defining scope of work issues with Consultants and ContractorsTeam OrientationWork across disciplines and office locations to fully utilize firm experiential knowledgeAbility to coordinate work with professional engineers, surveyors, survey field personnel, city code enforcement officials and construction crewsPlans and coordinates detailed aspects of engineering work.Ability to work with multiple individuals in a team environment.Coordinates work with entry-level engineers, technicians, surveyors and administrative staffContributes to Client Services teamCommunicationAbility to respond to common inquiries from contractors, surveyors, survey field personnel, city code enforcement or regulatory agenciesAbility to effectively present information in oral and written formatReceives general supervision on assignments and thorough review of all aspects of workReceives instruction on specific objectives, and direction on unconventional and/or complex problemsContinuous ImprovementAssist with developing standards and guidelinesProvide input towards improving operational procedures.Able to perform tasks in support of Staff Professionals and Engineer InternsPerforms more advanced drafting tasksContinually participate in Individual Development planning and program.LeadershipTrains and mentors other CADD / Revit techniciansCollaboratively uses judgment to determine adaptations in methods for non-routine aspects of assignmentsServiceActively participate in local professional societyParticipate in community service activities and understand implications of involvementMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineeringExperience with municipal water/wastewaterPE registration in South Carolina or ability/plan to obtainStrong technical background and experience in water or wastewaterActive engagement in professional and industry organizationsExcellent interpersonal and communications skillsWorking knowledge of technical specificationsSoftware knowledge: Microsoft Office, AutoCADExperienceMinimum of 10 years of relevant experienceBachelor's Degree in EngineeringMaster's, BCEE, PMP, LEED AP preferredEngaged in life-long learning to maintain knowledge associated with Architecture / Engineering contemporary issueProfessional Engineer Licensure
