Joining our team requires skill, daring, leadership, teaming, humor and a love of interiors.Job ResponsibilitiesLeads client relationship from initial assessment of client needs through project deliveryManages multiple projects of various sizes in Commercial Interiors, Workplace, Federal, and Government ProjectsPrepares documents and supporting materials in compliance with periodic contract reporting requirementsProject ManagementPrepares fee proposals and successfully negotiates feesSolicites, negotiates, and manages consultant contractsManages projects from inception through contract administrationOversees risk management planning, identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategiesEnsures adherence to budget and schedule requirementsManages billing and collections for assigned projectsEstablishes and maintains quality control/quality assurance plansCoordinate all aspects of interface with stakeholder groupsCoordinate all aspects of interface with Owner review processManages projects to profitabilityLeads integration of sustainability and resiliency principlesChampions BIM standards and digital collaboration tools, ensuring team alignmentDesign, Production, Coordination and DocumentationWorks with design and technical teams to shape design conceptsCoordinates engineering work to ensure compliance with design conceptCoordinates with Senior technical staff and design staff to facilitate technical solutionsCreates Contract DocumentsCoordinate CDs to ensure compliance with firm standards, codes and standards and ADA requirementsFor smaller projects may oversee production or create all schematic, DD and CD documentsLeads construction administration efforts and coordinates industry partners and consultantsMarketing and Business DevelopmentIdentifies and pursues new business opportunities with existing and potential clientsParticipates in marketing strategy sessions and presentationsEnsure positive relationships resulting in additional business or referred workMentoringAssign tasks, oversee work and provide feedback to staffDevelops skills of staff for future projectsCreates a positive work environment with effective team building and inter-personal skillsEducation, Work Experience, and LeadershipGraduate of architecture or interior design school: equivalent experience may be substituted8-12+ years' experience producing design projects including 5+ years managing projectsRegistration required: Must be a Licensed Architect or Interior DesignerFederal security clearance preferred, eligibility requiredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesComprehensive knowledge of materials, furnishings and construction methods related to interior architectureExperience with building design and envelope detailing a plusComprehensive knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirementsProven ability to write and negotiate contracts for services, consultants and contractorsProven ability to solve contract and administration issues within the established design contextDemonstrated ability to manage and lead all levels of staffAdvanced verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced presentation and graphic communication skillsFamiliarity with workplace and federal procurement processes and design standardsAdvanced Revit modeling skillsAdvanced Adobe Creative Suite skillsAdvanced MS Office Suite skillsInterior Architects, Inc.
