Project ManagerThe Project Manager role plans, directs, manages, and provides oversight of assigned design and survey projects to ensure that Company goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed schedule and budget parameters.This position is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units. Manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to quality and control guidelines throughout the full development life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.Employees, Managers, and Supervisors throughout the corporation, and various external customers, vendors, consultants, and governmental regulatory officials.Manage project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issuesParticipate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organizationProvide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestonesManage and maintain existing assigned customer relationships as well as establish, manage, and maintain newly assigned customer relationshipsPrepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the projectManage multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectivesDevelop and deliver status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadershipAssist in dispute, negotiation, arbitration or litigation, as neededMonitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and participate in quality issue resolutionEnsure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standardsProven success in providing on site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestonesMonitor staff performance and complete performance reviewsDelegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnelCoach, mentor, motivate and supervise project and program teamContinue professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practicesManage and perform the required business processes in WorkflowOther duties as assignedSelf-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demandsStrong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizationsExcellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of managementExperience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget closeExperience drafting and submitting budget proposals and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessaryTechnically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD)Experience leading, motivating and managing various project team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performanceTeam-building skills with technical and non-technical staffExperience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentFlexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
