Traveling Project ManagerThe Berlin Steel Construction Company is a full-service specialty contractor, primarily with structural steel and miscellaneous metals. We design, fabricate, and erect structures in the Northeast and in other parts of the country. We have 2 fabrication facilities, 4 erection operations facilities, and 6 office locations that provide engineering and management of projects.

We service the private commercial, public, institutional, and industrial markets.We are seeking an experienced Traveling Project Manager to support structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects across multiple regions. This position is ideal for a self-sufficient construction professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and can independently manage projects from award through closeout.This is not a remote position.
Candidates must be willing to travel based on project needs. When assigned to a project in a market where Berlin Steel has an office, the expectation is that the Project Manager will work out of that office location while supporting the project.What You'll DoManage structural steel and miscellaneous metals construction projects from project turnover through completionOversee project financials, scheduling, coordination, subcontractors, RFIs, change orders, and contract complianceCoordinate with engineering, detailing, fabrication, erection, vendors, and customers to keep projects moving efficientlyMaintain project schedules, track milestones, and proactively resolve issuesParticipate in job meetings, site visits, and customer coordination meetingsSupport project execution while maintaining quality, safety, and budget expectationsPrepare and manage cost tracking, billing support, and project documentationWhat We're Looking For5–7+ years of structural steel and/or miscellaneous metals experience requiredProven experience independently managing construction projectsStrong understanding of steel fabrication, erection processes, drawings, sequencing, and field coordinationAbility to effectively manage multiple priorities with minimal oversightExperience handling project financials, schedules, subcontractors, and customer communicationStrong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsWillingness and ability to travel as project needs requireValid driver's license requiredPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferredExperience with construction/project management software systemsWhy Berlin Steel?Berlin Steel is a 100% employee-owned ESOP company with a long-standing reputation in the structural steel industry.
