Our success is driven by a collaborative, talented team dedicated to quality, innovation, and client satisfaction.About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior HVAC Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful completion of commercial HVAC projects throughout the Greater San Diego, CA area. This role is responsible for identifying and managing project risks, ensuring seamless communication between all stakeholders, and overseeing project execution from inception to closeout.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized, with strong negotiation, communication, and risk management skills.
This is a hands-on leadership position requiring close coordination with vendors, subcontractors, field teams, and clients.Key ResponsibilitiesRisk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks through thorough planning, communication, and verification of project scope and contract requirements.Vendor & Subcontractor Management: Negotiate pricing, write subcontracts, and issue purchase service contracts to secure project resources and services.Labor & Material Tracking: Monitor and forecast labor and material costs to ensure accurate reporting and control project budgets.Document Control: Review and manage key project documentation including: Labor/Material Reports, Submittal & Procurement Logs, Change Orders, Requests for Information (RFIs).Field Coordination: Direct and collaborate with field personnel and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project plans and timelines.Schedule Management: Coordinate project phases to prevent delays, resolve conflicts, and ensure on-time delivery.Billing & Projections: Prepare billing projections based on project progress and completion schedules.Client Communication: Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication, timely responses, and customer satisfaction.QualificationsExperience & Skills:Minimum of 5+ years of project management experience in commercial HVAC construction.Proven ability to read and analyze schematics, design plans, and technical documents.Strong negotiation skills for vendor and subcontractor contracts.Experience with labor and material tracking, forecasting, and reporting.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project demands.Education:Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field is a plus.Compensation & BenefitsSalary: Competitive, based on experience.Benefits Include: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) with company match.Paid time off, sick leave, and holidays.Professional development opportunities.Company-sponsored team events and activities.
