When you work for Texas Materials, you are helping to support and build the infrastructure of Texas.Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)Initiate and maintain liaison between Owner, Prime Contractor, or Subcontractor, to facilitate construction activities.Monitor/control construction with the on-site Superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.Monitor the overall safety of employees on the projectCoordinate materials, trucking, and subcontractor workRepresent the company in project meetings; assist in planning meetings, etc.Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationships with the client.Assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Senior Project Manager.Education/ExperienceConstruction Management Degree or equivalentWork RequirementsRegular work attendance is a requirement for this positionMinimum of 3 years of experience in construction management requiredKnowledge/Skill RequirementsA thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities is vital.Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills are essentialBusiness Acumen; Decision Quality; Managing and Measuring Work; Drive for ResultsP6 scheduling experience preferredMust be proficient with Microsoft Excel and WordKnowledge of Bid 2 Win and/or Heavy Bid preferredTXDOT traffic control/safety standards knowledge preferredPhysical RequirementsRequires the following motions on occasion: bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching, fine motor, and repetitive motion.Requires the following motions frequently: standing, walking, sittingWork EnvironmentThis position will be based out of a division, branch, or project officeMay require exposure to extreme temperatures, both hot and coldWill require exposure to dust and dirtWhat CRH/Texas Materials Offers YouAn inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionCompetitive base payMedical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsAbout CRHCRH has a long and proud heritage.
