Project Manager - Risk ManagementGetzville, NY Hybrid 12+Months Web Cam Interview $70/Hr on W2 Project Management - Risk ManagementThe role is responsible for overall day-to-day project management, including leading project team, engaging with project sponsor and senior stakeholders, managing overall project plan, addressing escalations, risk and issues, and maintaining compliance to Program Management Council requirements.Requires prior experience with leading cross-functional, regulatory-driven programs within Risk or Finance. A strong candidate will have the excellent communication skills required to present and negotiate at a senior level.Responsibilities:Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a project or portfolio of projectsApplies in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function; and, requires basic commercial awarenessAssesses creation and signoff of project plan and charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central program issue logOversees project plans to meet business needs as described in the project initiation documentsEnsures all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand the project schedule and key milestonesWorks with Project Sponsor to ensure business case cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectivesEnsures all areas of the project are appropriately staffedMonitors project commitment from those assigning resourcesEscalates project risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriateCreates the project risk management planWorks with procurement team to create, administer, track, and eventually close project contracts if applicableMakes recommendations for training and development needs for assigned personnelDirects area supported through responsibility for delivery of end results and shared responsibility for budget management, accountable for resource planningEnsures essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standardsAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparencyQualifications:15+ years of experiencePrior experience in Risk, Finance or Data/Technology preferredGood knowledge of banking and trading products, Risk Analytics or Risk Data ManagementStrong working knowledge on waterfall or agile methodologiesStrong communication skills, both written and verbalProficient in content creation for executive summary, senior management review packagesHighly organized, detail oriented, experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environmentSelf-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructionsExcellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically PowerPoint and ExcelPMP preferred but not requiredEducation:Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially master's degree
