We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a growing General Contractor with a strong pipeline of public-sector construction projects across Virginia.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with 2–3+ years of construction management experience who is looking to take ownership of projects and develop into a more senior position as the Virginia operation continues to grow.
Responsibilities:
- Manage construction projects from preconstruction through completion
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, contracts and subcontractors
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers and project stakeholders
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation
- Monitor quality, safety and project progress
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong client relationships
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Support the continued growth and development of the Virginia operation
Ideal Background:
- 2–3+ years of construction Project Management experience
- Strong General Contractor / CM background
- Proven experience independently managing construction projects
- Experience with projects valued at $5M–$12M+
- Public-sector construction experience highly preferred
- K-12 / school construction experience is particularly relevant
- Experience with county, municipal, DPW or other government projects
- Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
- Ambitious and interested in growing into a more senior role
