Our ideal team member is passionate and progressively seeking more responsibilities to expand their expertise.ResponsibilitiesGenerating creative design solutions within the functional parameters of a retail projectCoordinate all phases of the design process in full life cycle projectsTranslate concepts and information into imagesPrepare and coordinate all project deliverablesManage contract administration responsibilitiesCoordinate with a variety of consultantsProvide leadership to staff/teamManage client relations and ensure client satisfactionFunction in a team lead capacity, while working on multiple, challenging projectsAssist with creation and management of project schedulesDevelop & present appropriate technical solutions to stakeholdersAssist with leading project studio team members, leveraging strengths, and providing mentorshipWork proactively to resolve issues that arise between project, design, and technical objectives of the project, in coordination with Project ManagerExecute coordination and integration of architectural and consultant documentsSeek innovation in design solutions in an ongoing spirit of curiosity and increased project performanceDemonstrate understanding of appropriate industry standards and construction practiceMaintain awareness of, and appropriately apply, new methodologies, practices, codes, and productsAttend and conduct presentationsApply knowledge of construction methods and timelinesLeveraging professional network to grow retail sector (Business Development)Deep understanding of retail drivers from both the retailer and landlord perspectiveQualificationsThis role is an in-office positionDegree from a NAAB accredited architecture program or licensure20+ years of experience in commercial design; Retail experience expectedDisplay strong design portfolio showing strengths in conceptual design, space planning skills, and detailingRevit proficiency and technical excellenceThorough understanding of how a drawing set goes togetherAcumen for how things are built and constructability, and the ability to apply that knowledge to support the project design and budgetUnderstanding of building and accessibility codesExperience coordinating with a variety of consultants and contractorsInterest in sustainable designProfessional registrationEffective organizational and communication skillsAttention to detailFlexible attitudeAbility to collaborate in a diverse project team environmentDemonstrated experience coordinating and leading project teamsAbility to translate design concepts and information into imagesConfident presentation abilityPotential travel opportunitiesThis position is designated as full-time on-site and requires the employee to be physically present at the assigned office location Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
In addition, base salary is not inclusive of total compensation.
