Senior Project ManagerKimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager to expand our Renewable Energy practice in Towson, MD!Responsibilities include:Lead the design and analysis of complex electrical systems for renewable generation, energy storage, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, building electrical, and battery storage projectsResponsible for the review and development of design documents and reports, including electrical layouts, equipment schematics and block diagrams, electrical system calculations, and one-line diagramsDaily interaction and collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams, with interaction across Kimley-Horn officesPrepare project specifications, electrical construction cost estimates, and proposals, supporting the growth of electrical engineering service areas in the local market and across the countryLeadership responsibilities include:Operating with integrity and sound business principlesProviding vision, business planning and strategyEstablishing goalsBuilding and maintaining positive client relationshipsHaving open communication with your partners and teamGrowing and leading a Renewable Energy practiceOur Project Managers/Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentorThe successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their businessWith success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of an impressive bonus program with the potential to advance to ownershipQualifications include:8+ years of relevant experience managing renewable energy or related projectsRegistered Professional Engineer (P.E.) licenseFamiliar with the relevant standards, regulations, and best practices for wind energy projectsExtensive client contacts and relationships with local architects, developers, land use attorneys, planners and/or land ownersStrong technical skills in AutoCAD Civil3D, Excel, and/or GISBusiness development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected workAbility to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organizationAbility to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive mannerDemonstrated ability to manage land development projects profitablyWhy Kimley-Horn?At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
