In this position you will lead all phases of medium to large projects from planning through construction. This role oversees budgeting, scheduling, design development, specifications, and construction documents, while maintaining strong client relationships and resolving architectural challenges.
The Project Manager directs and monitors project activities and serves as primary client contact.The position is located in our San Jose, CA office. The position requires 3 days in the office and the ability to work from home Mondays and Fridays; Fridays are also half days.Responsibilities:Lead and manage all phases of architectural projects, including scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and billingServe as the primary point of contact for clients, agencies, consultants, and stakeholdersSupervise, mentor, and evaluate project team members; delegate work and provide performance feedbackPrepare and manage work plans, schedules, staffing projections, and project feesOversee design development, construction documents, specifications, and construction administrationEnsure design intent, quality, code compliance, and coordination across all project deliverablesWrite and review project correspondence, RFIs, change orders, contracts, and meeting documentationCoordinate with agencies to resolve plan check and approval issuesReview cost estimates, conduct value analysis, and manage project changesParticipate in marketing efforts, proposals, and client interviewsRequirements:Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited university or equivalent experienceMinimum 7 years of experience in architectural practice, including project managementStrong understanding of contractual obligations, project fees, and budget managementProven ability to lead teams, delegate effectively, and make sound decisionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience managing consultants, agencies, and client relationshipsAbility to write and edit specifications and oversee construction documentationHighly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple prioritiesThe salary range for this position is $106,331 - $159,101.
