Project Manager

About the Role

Valcourt is seeking a Project Manager to lead waterproofing and restoration projects from planning through completion. Projects include building facades, parking garages, pool & plaza decks and other exterior restoration work on occupied properties.

You will own project financial performance, schedules, quality and client relationships while coordinating with superintendents, subcontractors and internal teams. Success requires strong financial judgment, clear communication and a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects from turnover through final closeout, meeting budget, schedule, safety and quality expectations.
• Own project budgets, cost tracking, forecasts, billing, pay applications and gross margin performance.
• Coordinate labor, subcontractors, vendors, equipment and materials with field leadership.
• Review drawings, specifications and contracts; manage permits, RFIs, submittals and project documentation.
• Develop and manage change orders, including scope, pricing and schedule impacts, within company approval requirements.
• Lead project meetings and communicate with clients, engineers, property managers and residents.
• Visit jobsites regularly, complete required safety inspections and work with field teams to address safety and quality concerns.
• Identify project risks, resolve problems and escalate significant issues to operations leadership.

Qualifications

• Commercial construction project management experience with responsibility for project financials and execution.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate project teams and maintain accurate schedules and documentation.
• Experience interpreting construction drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and client relationship skills.
• A collaborative, accountable approach and willingness to learn Valcourt’s processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction project software; Microsoft Project experience strongly preferred.
• Waterproofing, restoration or occupied-building renovation experience preferred. Candidates from adjacent construction backgrounds will be considered.

Work Environment and Benefits

The role combines office or administrative work with regular visits to active jobsites throughout the Tampa, Bradenton and Sarasota area, with occasional Florida Keys assignments. Remote administrative work may be available based on performance and project needs.

The position requires working indoors and outdoors, accessing elevated work areas during inspections and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds, with reasonable accommodations available.
