Our Construction team is looking for a talented Project Manager to help support the efforts of our fast-growing company. Adapture Renewables is owned by KIRKBI Climate – the private holding and investment company of the Kirk Kristiansen family founded to build a sustainable future for the LEGO® brand through generations.This position will work in our Construction team and lead the end-to-end delivery of utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage projects, from development and preconstruction handoff through commercial operation, owning project plans, budgets, schedules, and EPC execution while leading a project team of APMs, CMs, and Quality Managers. This position reports to the Director of Construction.
The candidate may be based remotely in the U.S., with periodic travel to our Bay Area home office and other company locations.Core ResponsibilitiesLead and manage internal and external resources to execute through development and precon handoff to project teamLead contract negotiations with EPCs and drive contract execution processLead project procurement coordination activities (e.g., modules, MPT, HV breakers)Assist the development team by providing site risk assessment and mitigation optionsAnalyze site for key constructability factors based on constraint data including, but not limited to, environmental risks, easements, wetlands, and pipelinesInterview, hire, lead, and retain APMs, CMs, and Quality Managers to manage projects from inception to O&MManage project plans and budgets; compile revenue and cash flow forecasts; compile financial reports for executive management and shareholdersManage utility requirements and GIA, including substation, switchyard, and T-line constructionManage and build BESS projects, including standalone, co-located, and combined configurationsDrive project schedule to meet contractual EPC milestones, Utility/GIA milestones, ISO COD, and PPA COD deadlinesProvide support to the precon team on RFP bid reviews and technical documentation, including support in the EPC selection processConduct monthly owner site visits and assessments to monitor and manage construction EPCsImplement, monitor, and improve the following systems on a project-by-project basis:Site-specific safety program and site safety auditsQuality management program and QA/QC inspectionsCost management systemSchedule management systemLead and coordinate communications with landowners, utilities, and offtakers as needed during constructionReport on project health regularly to managementRepresent the construction department in relevant development and delivery meetings as requiredRepresent the construction department during relevant third-party stakeholder meetings and events as requiredCoordinate weekly one-on-one meetings with the project teamQualifications and ExperienceDemonstrated experience managing utility-scale solar PV and BESS construction projects from inception through commercial operationBachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experiencePVsyst energy modeling software experienceExperience with PV utility-scale design, including layouts and single-line diagramsExperience with civil design requirements for the development of PV utility-scale projects, including site access, site drainage, and hydrologyExperience with various PV technologies used in utility-scale projects in the U.S. marketExperience with resource analysis and performance metrics and KPIs, including leading training and certification processesOSHA 30 certification; CPR/First-Aid/AED; SWPPP and erosion controlStrong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder communication skillsPosition requires regular travel to project sites and other company locationsBenefits Package401(k) plan with company matching contributionCompetitive health, vision, and dental benefitsAttractive personal time off and company holiday packageWork-from-home policySalary commensurate with experience$135,000 - $155,000, DOENoteQualified candidates only.
