They should be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their teammates.About The Role:As a Project Manager for Power Generation at SpaceXAI, you will own the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale power generation projects that support SpaceXAI's rapidly expanding AI infrastructure.
You will lead the development of power plants, substations, generation assets, and grid interconnection projects to ensure reliable, high-capacity power supply for our next-generation data centers. Working cross-functionally with engineering, construction, procurement, and energy teams, you will drive projects from concept through commissioning in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.Responsibilities:Lead full lifecycle project management for power generation initiatives, including gas turbines, reciprocating engines, renewables integration, and substation projectsDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plansManage project risks, issues, and change orders while ensuring on-time and on-budget deliveryCoordinate with utility companies, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders for permitting and grid interconnectionTrack project progress, KPIs, and financial performance with clear reporting to leadershipCollaborate closely with engineering teams on technical specifications and design reviewsDrive procurement strategy and vendor/contractor managementEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standardsBasic Qualifications:5+ years of project management experience in power generation, energy infrastructure, or large industrial projectsProven track record delivering complex, multi-million dollar energy projects on schedule and within budgetStrong working knowledge of power generation technologies (gas, diesel, renewables) and electrical infrastructureExperience with project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent)Preferred Skills And Experience:Background in data center power systems or hyperscale energy projectsProfessional certifications (PMP, PE, or equivalent)Experience with utility-scale generation, battery energy storage systems (BESS), or high-voltage substationsFamiliarity with regulatory environments, permitting processes, and grid complianceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical fieldAdditional Requirements:Ability to work onsite in Memphis, TN / Southaven, MS areaStrong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence across teamsComfortable operating in a dynamic, rapidly scaling organization with aggressive timelinesSpaceXAI is an equal opportunity employer.
