Project Manager PMP or VITA PM cert

VDOT Project ManagerLocation: Must be local and able to work onsite 2-3 days per weekCertification: Must possess PMP certification through PMI or VITA’s PM certificationRole: Managing a complex IT project(s) with multiple teams and work streamsKey Responsibilities: Coordinating and communicating with ITD management and staff, collaborating with vendors, maintaining project budget and schedules, defining test objectives, managing project milestones, supporting system and application training efforts.Experience: Minimum of 5 years in IT infrastructure delivery, network infrastructure, network architecture, wireless technologies, cloud implementation, vendor management.

Experience with VoIP infrastructure and managing large, multi-stream projects is a plus.Skills: Familiarity with telecommunications, network technologies, network standards and practices.

Experience in reviewing carrier bid feedback and delivering scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.Qualifications: PMP or Qualified under Commonwealth of Virginia Qualification Standards for IT Project Managers for Category 4 ProjectsPreferred: Experience in both Agile and Waterfall project management, complex office relocation, Agile Scrum Master certification, proficiency in Microsoft Office productsSpecial Instructions: The position requires a fingerprint-based background check. Only PMP certification from PMI or PM certification from VITA is accepted.
