Project Manager

Overview

I am seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in commercial drywall and interior construction to oversee projects from preconstruction through completion. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of drywall project management experience, with a proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while delivering high-quality projects safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of commercial drywall projects, from project award and planning through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reports.
• Coordinate with general contractors, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
• Monitor labor productivity, material procurement, and project costs to maximize profitability.
• Conduct regular job site visits to assess progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Identify potential project risks and implement solutions to minimize delays and additional costs.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams regarding project progress, challenges, and milestones.
• Oversee project documentation, billing, cost tracking, and final closeout procedures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements, building codes, and company standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in commercial drywall and interior construction.
• Strong understanding of drywall installation, metal stud framing, taping, finishing, and suspended ceiling systems.
• Experience managing multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, change orders, and cost controls.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with general contractors, clients, and field personnel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction project management software.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred, but equivalent industry experience will be considered.
