Project Manager | Industrial Automation

Location: Greater Nashville Area

Employment Type: Full time, Direct Hire

The Forum Group is partnering with an established industrial automation company to hire a Project Manager in the Greater Nashville area.

This person will oversee equipment projects from initial planning through installation, keeping customers, engineering, and assembly teams aligned on scope, budgets, and deadlines. The ideal candidate understands automated machinery and can manage the technical and customer aspects of multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Own project schedules, budgets, milestones, and customer communication.
• Coordinate engineering and assembly resources to meet project commitments.
• Lead project meetings, communicate progress, and address issues affecting delivery.
• Evaluate scope changes and communicate their impact on cost and timing.
• Coordinate equipment testing, shipment, installation, and customer acceptance.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure outstanding items are resolved.
• Support proposal reviews and project planning with technical and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Experience managing projects involving automated equipment, industrial machinery, or manufacturing systems.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and controls systems within automated equipment.
• Ability to coordinate technical teams and build strong customer relationships.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, scope changes, and competing priorities.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, and Outlook.

Location and Travel

This position is based in the Greater Nashville area, with customer travel as needed for meetings, installation, and equipment acceptance.
