Online Project ManagerAn Online Project Manager reports to the Online Production Lead, and is responsible for managing Production incidents, production escalations, scope out site enhancement requests and ensure the operational integrity of the websites. The Online Project Manager leverages their project management skills to perform the day to day management of projects / tasks / resources, but goes beyond this remit to work across the business, in order to produce the final deliverable on time and to budget. We're looking for a driven and successful project manager with a proven history of working in a more demanding / time sensitive environment. You'll work as part of a team of Project managers alongside highly experienced and talented Brand Project managers, business managers and Product development team for a successful delivery. The successful candidate will be adept with different project management methodologies, and comfortable working with both Waterfall and AGILE. To succeed, candidates must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise workload effectively, together with the ability to work under pressure whilst ensuring optimum output. You will have good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail and good presentation skills. This role will involve frequent face-to-face meetings with business representatives and outside agencies. They will also be expected to form strong relationships with peers in our Global team, and be comfortable working in a collaborative fashion to achieve common goals.Overview of ResponsibilitiesScoping: Taking brand briefs, working closely with the creative, Product development team and to develop and scope the brief. Explaining individual elements of a project to brand managers, designers and Product development teams. Liaising with 3rd party individuals and companies to outsource elements or all of a project. Creating scope of work documents, estimates and timing plans for projects.
Experience of working across multiple projects at any one time is key.Delivering: Driving the delivery of a wide variety of projects leveraging our product features / functionalities from digital marketing campaigns to eCommerce initiatives and features. The Project manager will work with specialists in each area (Product team, Creatives, QA Managers) to finalize and deliver each element of a brief on schedule.Website Quality: Monitor and verify site quality throughout its release cycle by working very closely with the QA team and Business teams.Stakeholder-handling: The Project manager will have a great deal of brand/agency contact. As such they must be very personable and enjoy this side of project management. They will be involved from the project initiation, but will be particularly responsible for guiding brands though the product/platform capabilities, production process, writing status reports and organizing ongoing meetings.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with brand teams to assist with project scopingMastering Site features functionalities with thorough understanding on internal tools and platforms (CMS / Offer manager / PIM etc)Working closely with the Product teams to clearly understand the assumptions, background and risks for all allocated pieces of deliveryManage brand expectations within the confines of the allocated delivery projects – defining internal and external roles and responsibilities at project kick-off and ensuring communication is open, transparent and in line with the agreed communication planMonitoring the project team, ensuring that tasks are allocated and delivered according to the plan and escalate where a deviation to plan is likelyBeing commercially aware of all decisions made throughout a project lifecycle -understanding potential impact to the timescale and raise issues/concerns where appropriateMaintaining regular brand and production team meetings and where relevant 3 rd party communication at all times ensuring that all methods of communication identified are provided when agreedEnsuring QA resource is available throughout the project, ensuring that the best use of resource at all times and is in line with the agreed delivery planActing as the Client of all project documentation – ensure that all documentation is consistent and fit for purpose before being sent to the brands for reviewActing as a quality gatekeeper for all brand deliverables – ensure that standards are met and that nothing goes to the brand that is not to standardEscalating issues/concerns immediately in order to avert projects running over time/budgetCompleting all required reports as identified and required in a timely and accurate mannerEnsuring that all risks and issues are communicated to stakeholdersWork collaboratively at all times ensuring that your communication style is consistent, clear and openEnsure that your approach to process is flexible – positively find solutions to problems whilst assessing the commercial impact of decisions made.Develop strong relationships with both the brand and the production team, ensuring that potential opportunities are identified and sharedTrack progress and negotiate deadlinesCheck that requests have been completed within the agreed briefing documentationQualifications and Certification5+ years' experience in delivering / producing digital projects. Educated to Degree level or have relevant experience in their appropriate discipline and management experience.Work experience with offshore/nearshore/onshore model a big plusProject management certification preferable.Key MeasurementThe success of the role will be measured by the delivery of projects to time and quality and the efficient management and support. In addition brand management, production team relationship development and communication style will also be factors in performance measurement.Job CircumstancesBe willing work extended hours as required by the role and be available to occasionally implement systems out of business hours.
