Project Manager – MetalsLocation: Merrillville, INType: Direct hirePay: $120K - $140KIndustry: Steel/MetalsSummary: Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with an A/E or engineering consulting background to lead a portfolio of metals industry projects. This is a client-facing leadership role responsible for the full lifecycle of large-scale industrial projects (typically $1MM+ in fees). This role requires experience in a consulting/A&E environment (not in-plant operations), with deep metals industry knowledge from the perspective of an external advisor delivering projects for clients.Key Responsibilities:Serve as primary client contact and account manager, ensuring clear communication and satisfactionSupport business development, proposals, scoping, and contract negotiationsLead project execution, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, budget, and qualityDevelop execution strategies as designs evolve through permitting and constructionMonitor scope, schedule, and cost; manage change authorizationsManage project financials including pricing, invoicing, cash flow, and profitabilityDevelop and maintain project documentation (scope, estimates, schedules, reporting)Promote cost-efficient, innovative design solutionsPrepare client reports on cost, schedule, and quality performanceQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred)5–10+ years of project management experience in an A/E or consulting firm is requiredExperience managing complex industrial projects as a consultantProven success delivering large-scale projectsDirect experience serving steel/metals industry clientsFamiliarity with A/E, AEPCM, and Design-Build delivery modelsExperience with industrial safety standards and contract/liability considerationsProficiency in Microsoft OfficePMP certification strongly preferred**We are unable to sponsor or transfer visas for this role, including student visas #LI-AD1
