Project Manager (Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing)Location: Baltimore, MD or Norfolk, VAHybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days WFHSalary Range: $120-$150K+ (based on experience level)Company summary: We are an established MEP consulting engineering firm serving clients across healthcare, education, government, science and technology, mission-critical, and commercial sectors. Our culture values collaboration, accountability, and long-term client relationships.Position summary: The Project Manager leads MEP consulting projects from initiation through closeout, owning scope, fee, schedule, and client communication.

This role manages a multi-discipline team, maintains project controls, and ensures deliverables meet internal QA/QC standards. You will also support growth through proposals and by identifying follow-on work with existing clients.Minimum qualificationsBS in Engineering or equivalentActive PE license5+ years in consulting engineering across varied projectsPrior experience as a Project Manager owning scope, schedule, and budgetKey responsibilitiesProject initiationPartner with leadership to establish the project team and define rolesProduce project initiation documents including detailed scope outline, budget, and milestone scheduleIdentify delivery risks early and align mitigation plans with the team and clientProject execution and controlsLead implementation to ensure work aligns to approved scope and scheduleMaintain project status reporting systems with real-time actions, changes, and decisionsDrive internal coordination across disciplines and resolve conflicts impacting scheduleKeep the client informed through a clear communication cadence and decision trackingEnsure QA/QC steps and review workflows are followed for all deliverablesOversee production of high-quality reports and presentations aligned to scope and standardsFinancial performanceControl project costs for time, travel, and reimbursablesTrack fee burn, forecast variances, and take corrective action earlyIssue and manage change notices for scope and budget adjustmentsMaximize profitability through resource planning, budgeting discipline, and cost controlsTeam leadershipLead, support, and develop project staffEvaluate performance, identify strengths and gaps, and coach for growth
