About the Role
Commercial general contractor is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead projects from planning through closeout. The company has a strong record of delivering quality projects across healthcare, education, government, industrial, hospitality, religious, and institutional sectors. This role is a good fit for a hands-on project manager who can manage project finances, schedules, contracts, subcontractors, and client relationships while working closely with field Superintendents.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and cost controls.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, procurement, and project resources.
- Administer contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
- Work with Superintendents to track progress, resolve issues, and maintain quality.
- Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Support successful project turnover and closeout.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of commercial construction experience, including project management responsibilities.
Required Skills
- Experience working for a commercial general contractor.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and contracts.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and building systems.
- Clear communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to support projects throughout Northern Virginia.
Preferred Skills
- Ground-up commercial construction experience preferred.
- Procore or similar construction management software experience preferred.
- Experience managing projects valued at $10 million or more is preferred.
