Position Summary:
Berkel & Company Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage projects specializing in deep foundations and earth retention systems, including:
Sheeting and Shoring:
- Soldier pile and lagging walls
- Sheet pile walls
- Tiebacks
- Shotcrete and soil nail walls
- Internally braced walls
Deep Foundations:
- Micropiles
- Driven bearing piles
- Pressure grouting
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Estimating, design, and project management for the installation of deep foundation systems throughout the Midwest, specifically Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals and submittals.
- Budget monitoring and trend tracking
- Planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of assigned projects
- Monitor jobs for compliance on applicable codes, engineering practices, and company standards
- Ensure effective communication and production on assigned projects between all crew members and the general contractor
- Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolving client, engineering, and project management issues
- Monthly project status reports and change orders
- Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
