This role partners with engineering, operations, construction, maintenance, and regulatory teams to successfully deliver projects that support power generation, transmission, distribution, and infrastructure initiatives.The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical awareness, and experience managing complex, safety-critical projects in regulated industries.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & ExecutionDevelop comprehensive project plans defining scope, objectives, schedules, resources, and cost estimates for utility, construction, and nuclear projectsExecute projects using Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies, as appropriate for engineering and field-based workCoordinate project execution across engineering, construction, operations, and vendor teamsTeam Leadership & CoordinationLead and motivate cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, construction crews, contractors, and vendorsAssign responsibilities and provide direction to ensure project milestones are achievedFoster collaboration across departments while maintaining strong safety and quality standardsBudget & Cost ControlDevelop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controlsTrack expenses, change orders, and contractor costs to ensure financial accountabilitySupport capital project reporting and cost justificationScope, Risk & Change ManagementDefine and manage project scope, documenting and controlling scope changesIdentify and mitigate project risks related to safety, schedule, regulatory compliance, and constructabilityProactively address issues and escalate risks as neededSchedule & Quality ManagementDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules and milestonesMonitor progress to ensure on-time delivery of construction, outage, or maintenance-related workImplement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes to meet engineering and construction standardsSafety & Regulatory ComplianceEnsure compliance with utility, construction, and nuclear safety standards, policies, and proceduresSupport adherence to OSHA, NRC, environmental, and company-specific regulationsPromote a safety-first culture across all project activitiesStakeholder Communication & ReportingServe as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including leadership, operations, construction, and regulatory teamsProvide regular project status updates, dashboards, and executive reportsManage stakeholder expectations and resolve concernsDocumentation & Project CloseoutMaintain complete and accurate project documentation, including plans, schedules, risk logs, and reportsEnsure proper project closeout, including stakeholder sign-off, lessons learned, and post-project evaluationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related technical field5–10 years of project management experience in utilities, construction, nuclear, or heavy industrial environmentsStrong proficiency with project management tools and scheduling softwareAdvanced knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, hybrid)Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skillsExcellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work effectively in regulated, safety-critical environmentsPreferred QualificationsPMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certificationExperience managing: power generation, transmission, or distribution projects; construction or capital infrastructure projects; nuclear facility projects, outages, or maintenance activitiesExperience working with contractors, vendors, and field personnelFamiliarity with utility or nuclear documentation, work management, or outage planning systems
