With an expansive portfolio of technically demanding work and a robust internal structure for professional advancement, this platform is specifically engineered to accelerate your trajectory toward executive-level leadership.Core ResponsibilitiesLead all phases of multidisciplinary MEP engineering projects—including planning, design coordination, construction administration, and final closeout—ensuring every milestone is met on schedule and within budget.Integrate complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, architectural, civil, and technology systems, fostering total alignment between internal engineering teams, sub-consultants, and ownership groups.Serve as the primary, authoritative point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders, transforming project challenges into opportunities to develop and strengthen long-term relationships.Manage project schedules, staffing, scopes, and budgets, providing strategic oversight to maximize performance and deliver profitable, high-fidelity project outcomes.Oversee comprehensive field and construction activities, including the critical evaluation of RFIs, submittals, change orders, site visits, and complex field coordination issues.Review technical documentation, engineering drawings, and specifications to proactively resolve constructability concerns, coordination issues, and building code compliance gaps.Direct project teams, mentor junior project managers and engineering staff, and assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding top-tier talent to scale team capabilities.Spearhead larger, highly sophisticated engineering endeavors, including high-impact mission critical and infrastructure projects with design fees exceeding $1 million.Required QualificationsBachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline) from an accredited university.Project Manager I: 0–5 years of progressive experience within an MEP engineering environment or related AEC consulting industry.Project Manager II: 5+ years of dedicated MEP engineering and project management experience.Strong, comprehensive understanding of building systems, multidisciplinary workflows, and applicable building codes.Working knowledge and comfortable command of AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, staffing allocations, and project records effectively.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to facilitate alignment and lead high-level stakeholder meetings.Ability to travel approximately 10% as required to meet project and client needs.Preferred QualificationsActive Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer In Training (EIT) certification strongly preferred.Proven success managing and delivering complex projects within the mission critical, data center, aviation, or higher education sectors.A track record of delivering complex, multi-discipline engineering projects profitably and with minimal scope creep.Advanced experience leading, mentoring, and developing junior engineering talent and project staff.About DFW Consulting GroupDFW Consulting Group is a premier, multidisciplinary MEP engineering consulting firm dedicated to delivering high-performance engineering solutions.
