Project Manager I – Specialty Concrete Infrastructure ProjectsSuperior Skilled Trades is seeking a Project Manager I for a direct hire opportunity supporting specialty concrete infrastructure and prestressed tank construction projects throughout North Florida and surrounding regions. This role is ideal for a driven, field-oriented Project Manager with strong construction leadership experience who can manage multiple active projects while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget performance.The Project Manager will oversee project execution from preconstruction through closeout while coordinating closely with field teams, subcontractors, owners, and internal departments including Engineering, Procurement, Safety, Accounting, and Administration. This role requires strong technical understanding of construction operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage fast-moving field activity across multiple job sites.ResponsibilitiesDevelop full understanding of contract documents including drawings, specifications, and addendaEnsure compliance with project scope, safety requirements, quality standards, and schedule milestonesPrepare project startup packages including budgets, job cost setup, and field execution documentationDevelop and maintain CPM schedules, including look-ahead schedules and progress updatesCoordinate with drafting teams on shop drawings, formwork drawings, and construction detailingReview shop drawings for compliance with contract documents and project specificationsCoordinate submittals with subcontractors and purchasing to ensure timely approvals and material flowPrepare, transmit, and track submittal packages throughout the project lifecycleReview bills of materials, purchase orders, and work orders for procurement approvalConduct jobsite visits during mobilization and active construction phasesLead internal preconstruction meetings and ensure project readiness prior to field executionReview weekly job cost reports, EPIR data, and CCTS reporting for accuracy and performance trackingPresent cost and schedule performance updates during monthly WIP meetingsCoordinate field-related activities including safety inspections, QA/QC inspections, pre-pour meetings, testing requirements, and job cost trackingMonitor unit quantities, production tracking, and schedule/budget alignmentMaintain consistent communication with Superintendents regarding field progress and challengesManage change orders, delays, and coordination issues with owners, general contractors, and subcontractorsSupport timely project closeout including O&M manuals, as-builts, warranties, and punch list completionLead post-project reviews and internal performance evaluationsParticipate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesQualificationsStrong construction background with demonstrated experience managing projects and/or field teamsSolid understanding of construction materials, methods, and field execution practicesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Valid driver's license with clean driving record and ability to be insuredStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with scheduling, submittals, and construction document controlAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to travel extensively (approximately 80%)Preferred QualificationsConcrete, civil, or infrastructure construction experience strongly preferredOSHA 30 Certification preferredFirst Aid / CPR / AED certification a plusExperience working with CPM scheduling tools and project cost tracking systemsKey CompetenciesStrong leadership and decision-making ability in field environmentsHighly organized with strong attention to detail and documentation disciplineAbility to prioritize and execute across multiple active projectsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsComfortable working under pressure and tight deadlinesStrong interpersonal skills with clients, field teams, and subcontractorsAbility to learn and implement new construction technologies and systemsWillingness to participate in hands-on training for prestressed concrete tank construction methods
