Project ManagerAn immediate opportunity is available for a Project Manager based in the Madison, Wisconsin area. This role will oversee heavy civil construction projects from initial planning through final completion while ensuring operational excellence in scheduling, budgeting, quality, and safety.The successful candidate will work closely with field operations, owners, engineers, subcontractors, and executive leadership to coordinate every phase of project delivery while maintaining strong client relationships and driving successful project outcomes.Primary responsibilities include:Direct all phases of heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeoutDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and production plansCoordinate daily activities with superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholdersMonitor financial performance and implement strategies to maximize project profitabilityIdentify potential project risks and develop effective solutions to keep work on scheduleEnsure compliance with company safety standards, contract requirements, and quality expectationsBuild lasting relationships with owners, municipalities, consultants, and business partnersPrepare project reports and communicate progress, forecasts, and key milestones to leadershipSupport successful execution of multiple infrastructure projects while maintaining high customer satisfactionRequirements include:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferredMinimum of two years of Project Management experience within heavy civil constructionExperience managing DOT, roadway, or highway infrastructure projectsKnowledge of underground utility installation, including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water main constructionBackground in commercial and residential site development projectsExperience overseeing projects valued between $10 million and $250 millionProficiency with Primavera, Vista, and Microsoft Office applicationsPrevious experience working throughout Wisconsin or the Upper Midwest is beneficial but not requiredBenefits include:Competitive base salary of $100,000–$120,000Performance-based annual bonus opportunityVehicle reimbursement for business mileage and maintenanceComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributionsPaid vacation, holidays, and personal time offRelocation assistance available for qualified candidatesLong-term career advancement with a growing regional heavy civil contractor working on impactful infrastructure projects
