Project ManagerA well-established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee underground utility and infrastructure projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. This position will manage projects involving water, sewer, storm drain, rehabilitation, and trenchless utility construction for municipal and public-sector clients.The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple utility projects simultaneously, coordinating field operations, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of underground utility construction projects from preconstruction through closeoutOversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, procurement, and project documentationCoordinate with superintendents, field personnel, engineers, inspectors, and ownersLead project meetings and maintain strong communication with municipal clients and utility authoritiesTrack project costs, change orders, forecasting, and monthly reportingEnsure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and contract specificationsAssist with estimating, buyout, and project planning as neededManage trenchless and open-cut utility construction operations when applicableSupport permitting, inspections, and utility coordination effortsPreferred Background5+ years of Project Management experience in heavy civil or underground utility constructionExperience with water, sewer, stormwater, or wastewater infrastructure projectsKnowledge of trenchless technologies such as CIPP, pipe bursting, sliplining, or rehabilitation work is a plusStrong understanding of public works and municipal contractingExperience managing self-perform crews and subcontractorsAbility to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contractsStrong communication, organizational, and leadership skillsProficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
