We are also a publicly traded company on the NYSE with the ticker symbol KNF and part of the S&P MidCap 400 index.Knife River Idaho is seeking a motivated Concrete Structures Project Manager/Estimator who is eager to grow their skills in a division that has expanded from 3 employees to over 60 in the last 15 years. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in some areas of concrete or heavy civil work who wants to learn more and advance in a team?oriented, people?first environment.Our structures division delivers a wide variety of general and complex concrete work, including:Concrete flatwork and slabsCast?in?place boxes, vaults, and culvertsConcrete paving using Bidwells, roller screeds, and other methodsStructural and retaining wallsWater/wastewater tanks and containment structuresHeavy?civil structural systemsSpecialty contractor?designed solutions, including slide?in?place bridgesIf you're someone who likes variety, enjoys working with skilled crews, and is looking for real advancement potential, this role offers significant long?term growth.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Assist in reviewing plans, specifications, and site conditions across a broad range of concrete structure typesPerform or support quantity takeoffs for concrete, rebar, formwork, and structural elementsHelp prepare estimates and bids for projects ranging from small concrete packages to major structural installationsLearn to develop project sequences, formwork plans, pour strategies, and production expectationsCollaborate with superintendents and field crews to support scheduling, material procurement, and job coordinationTrack job progress, costs, and quantities with guidance from senior project managersWork with owners, inspectors, and design teams to resolve field issuesSupport safe and efficient execution of all concrete operationsMinimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experienceExperience with public and private sector projectsExcellent communication and leadership skills5+ years of experience in a PM/Estimator role in heavy highway or concrete bridge constructionProven experience working on DOT bridge projectsValid driver's license and clean driving record requiredStrong understanding of concrete structures, job costing, scheduling, and managing field crewsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and construction software (HCSS preferred)Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to dynamic project demandsSubject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.Knife River is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
