Project Manager Environmental RemediationAECOM is actively seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager Environmental Remediation for employment in our Omaha, NE office. This position will support the Environmental business line, primarily overseeing Federal environmental remediation projects. For the right candidate, this position may be remote.Other responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:Familiar with project invoicing and cash flow managementManages and directs professional and technical staff to complete complex environmental projectsLeads teams by utilizing advanced scientific principles, theories, and practicesUtilizes existing technologies and experience to develop technical solutions to complex problemsInterprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure complianceAnalyzes financial statements and completes budget trackingPerforms work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to area managerOversees the preparation of work plans and organizes project studiesPerforms complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems with the support of the project teamSupervises junior and mid-level staff during all phases of project workConducts reviews and provides staff feedback for continued improvementQualificationsMinimum RequirementsBA/BS in Geology, Engineering, or related field with + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationValid US Drivers LicenseDue to the nature of the work U.S.
Citizenship is required.Preferred QualificationsProfessional License (PE, PG, PMP, CHMM, or similar)10+ years' experience in environmental remediation (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, PFAS, munitions) project managementMaster's degree in Geology, Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or related fieldExperience with regulator and stakeholder negotiationsExperience successfully managing environmental projects for Federal clients (USACE, AFCEC, Navy)Thorough working knowledge of RCRA and CERCLADetail oriented with strong organizational and communication, both verbal and written skillsExperience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project deliverySuperior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiencesExperience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change ordersInterest in business developmentHave led teams of professionals in executing Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, Treatability Studies, Remedial Design, and Remedial Action Construction, in support of Federal environmental projectsOccasional overnight travel requiredAdditional InformationThis posting is for a current vacancy, and AECOM intends to fill this position by September 6th, 2026.At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
