Environmental Remediation Project ManagerResponsibilities of the role will include:Managing remedial projects at all phases of remediation (from Preliminary Assessment, Site Investigation/Remedial Investigation, through implementation of Remedial Actions)Coordinate and manage tasks associated with the implementation of field activities and report preparationFamiliarity with proper sampling techniques (soil, groundwater, soil gas, indoor air, surface water, sediment) and training junior staff proper sampling techniquesInterpret analytical data and subsurface conditionsReview data tables, boring logs, figures, and reports prepared by junior staff and provide feedbackDevelop scopes of work for subsurface investigations, UST closures, and various types of remediation (injections, excavations, MNA)Procure, coordinate, and oversee subcontractors (drillers, geophysical consultants, remediation contractors, laboratories)Prepare and review technical reports for submittal to clients, and regulatory agencies (i.e. NJDEP, NYSDEC, etc.)Ensure that work is completed within budget and in accordance with client and regulatory timingRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science, engineering, or related field requiredFive or more years' experience working on projects in New Jersey with excellent working knowledge of NJDEP regulations, technical and administrative requirements, applicable technical guidance, and field sampling proceduresFive or more years of experience preparing reports and forms for submittal to NJDEPFive or more years of experience logging soils and overseeing monitoring well installation40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and current 8-hour refresherOur ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong technical writing skills and the ability to present technical information to non-technical peopleExcellent organizational and project management skillsStrong computer skills, including Microsoft OfficeAttention to detail and ability to review the work of othersResourcefulness and initiativeAbility to work independently and mentor junior level employeesStrong work ethicWillingness to travel to jobsites across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, and occasionally nationally
