Remote Contract General

Digital Project ManagerWe are seeking a highly experienced Digital Project Manager to support complex retail energy system initiatives for a major utility in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. This role leads cross-functional, multi-workstream technology projects that support retail energy operations and enterprise systems.This position prefers a hybrid work arrangement, with the ability to work onsite at the Tysons, VA location up to three (3) days per week. Remote candidates will be considered provided they are willing to travel approximately 20–25% as needed for project and stakeholder engagements.The ideal candidate is results-driven, highly organized, and experienced in leading large-scale digital initiatives within a matrixed, regulated environment.ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end delivery of complex digital projects, from planning through implementation and close-outDefine scope, timelines, budgets, and success metrics in partnership with business and IT stakeholdersManage project execution, risks, dependencies, and governance using enterprise project management toolsProvide clear, concise status reporting to stakeholders and leadershipCoordinate vendors, contracts, and third-party dependenciesOversee testing, deployment readiness, and post-implementation reviewsEnsure compliance with regulatory, audit, and corporate standardsBuild alignment across cross-functional business and technical teamsQualifications5+ years of IT project management experience delivering complex, multi-workstream initiativesProven experience supporting Retail Energy systems, including EDI, billing/CIS, pricing, supply & scheduling, sales/CRM, contracts, and regulatory operationsExperience working in matrixed environments with multiple vendors and third-party providersStrong organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skillsProficiency with Microsoft Project and common collaboration and reporting toolsPreferred Qualifications:Project management certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent)Experience in regulated utilities or energy markets4 Reasons to Join The Squires Group, Inc.: 1.
