Project Manager- DesignWe're looking for a Project Manager- Design on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment (W-2) with support, you will provide project management and design services for distribution facilities. You will use your diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to broaden variety of assignments and related fields.
Be the single contact for projects in the areas service territory. Responsible for project scope until customer is satisfied. Must be knowledgeable and proficient in the design of the Distribution System, both in new construction and maintenance activities.Location: West Palm Beach, FL, 33407Key ResponsibilitiesPerform work order assessment and for completing the most complex of designs to meet internal/external customer needs requirementsCoordinate planning, organization and implementation of engineering projects with other operating or engineering units to facilitate assignment completionProduce a resource estimate, (i.e.
man-hours, materials, work type) necessary to implement the workEvaluate distribution system capability to serve new load while understanding and mitigating potential future impacts of the new loadProvide and maintain cost-effective design while considering the impact to the customer and valid customer requestsProject management, design, estimating, negotiations, performance tracking and reportingResponsible for all aspects of engineering design and permitting – Work with other department within the organization to establish customer requirements and project costStandards, policies, training, and support of organization - Communications, meetings, improvement measuresMeet attendance and storm responsibility requirementsQualificationsBachelor's Degree in related field of study or High School Diploma/GED and equivalent work experience – 3+ years experience in a combination of the following areas: Distribution/Utility Customer interactions and negotiations Electric Power Technology Certification
