Project Manager – Civil / Transportation EngineeringConnecticut Salary Range: $130,000 – $160,000A multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm with over 300 employees is seeking an experienced Project Manager with expertise in civil, site, and transportation engineering.The firm provides engineering, construction management, construction inspection, technology, and environmental services to a diverse client base including federal, state, and municipal agencies as well as private sector clients.This role combines technical leadership, client management, and project delivery oversight to support the successful execution of transportation and infrastructure improvement projects.Note: Project list with description of the projects costs and durations. This should be provided for all candidates moving forward and the ones that are pending interview.ResponsibilitiesThe Project Manager will oversee project delivery and manage multidisciplinary teams working on transportation and infrastructure initiatives.Key responsibilities include:Lead multidisciplinary teams on transportation and infrastructure improvement projects including roadway, site/civil, and drainage systemsProvide technical review and guidance for preparation of AutoCAD drawings and engineering specificationsDevelop contract documents for construction and permittingManage project budgets, schedules, and financial performanceMaintain strong client relationships and communicationPrepare construction cost estimatesCoordinate subconsultants and project partnersMentor and guide project engineers and junior staffParticipate in proposal development, presentations, and contract negotiationsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirementsKey SkillsProject management (technical and financial oversight), strong written and verbal communication, AutoCAD proficiency and familiarity with engineering software, construction contract preparation, cost estimating, technical writing and proposal development, presentation and public engagement skills, team leadership and staff developmentQualificationsEducationBachelor's or Master's degree in Civil EngineeringLicensureProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredExperienceMinimum 10 years of civil engineering experience, minimum 3 years serving as a Project ManagerBenefitsThe firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planLife insuranceProfessional development opportunitiesCompensation will be based on experience and credentials.The company is committed to Equal Employment Opportunity and maintains an affirmative action program supporting workforce diversity.
