Our expertise spans infrastructure, transportation, energy, water, and urban development, ensuring that every program is executed with precision, efficiency, and sustainability.Duties:Resolves complex construction project related issues, disputes, and disagreementsReviews status and overall construction project progress relative to submitted construction schedulesReviews change orders from all construction projects and assesses their impactAssists Client management staff with bid and contract planningAssesses bid specifications according to Client needs and probability of completion under stated timelineReviews status and monitors variances of the construction project database relative to scheduling and cost control reportingReviews and verifies submitted applications for payment and performs overall fiscal management of multiple construction projectsProvides functional direction over areas of responsibility including construction project schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality controlReviews and monitors overall administration of contracts for Architects and related consultantsCoordinates program activities with other Client organizational branches and departments such as the Office of Environmental Health and Safety, Design and A/E Technical Support, Asset Management Branch, Contract Administration, Inspection Unit, Maintenance and OperationsReviews and takes recommended actions in resolving disputes relative to construction projectsActively manages General Contractors in the fieldProject reportingManage staffQualificationsMinimum Requirements:BA/BS + 4 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationPreferred Experience:Seven years of professional experience managing the facilities design, or the planning and coordination of capital projects that includes the overall design, contract administration, cost estimating, and scheduling activitiesFive years of experience with healthcare facilities design, planning and constructionIn field management of General ContractorsExperience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)Experience with construction managementDesign-Build, progressive design build,Manage projects $90M and above,local worker PLAs, prevailing wage / DIR experience, public works projects, DSA experienceGraduation from a recognized college or university with an architecture, engineering or construction managementAdditional courses in business administration, public relations, accounting, school finance, personnel management, educational facilities planning, and communication are preferredPreferred Licenses and Certificates:A valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California State Architectural Board or Professional Engineer by the State Board for Professional Engineers and Land SurveyorsA valid Construction Manager (CCM) credential by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI)LEED Professional AccreditationAdditional InformationRelocation is not available for this roleSponsorship is not offered at this time or in the future
