BGE goes beyond competitive benefits to attract and retain the best in an environment that inspires excellence.Job ResponsibilitiesServe as liaison between the contractor, the consultant lead engineering and inspection team, and the Program Management TeamEnsure Project Management Plan (PMP) is followedMonitor overall construction progress and ensure compliance with the SpecificationsReview project plans, specifications and contract documents.Identify constructability issues, plan errors or omissions, potential delay issues, extra cost impacts, and identify potential resolution for deficient work.Lead Contractor Progress Meeting and report progress at Program Management MeetingsReport on overall project progress, overall costs, executed, pending and upcoming change orders, and review remaining contingencyRecommend approval of all pay estimates, including review, and update of all MOHReview bid item remaining quantities & identify any potential overrun/underrunReview and recommend final response to all RFI'sWhere required, provide final design oversight, sign and seal revisions made to the project plansCoordinate with PMC team if Design Engineer services is requiredReview and approve project bid item work packagesReview and sign all Non Conformance Report (NCR) upon completionEnsure SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) complianceEvaluate and track all Value Engineering ProposalsVerify the contractor's proposed look ahead schedules are realistic and followedReview construction issues that arise on site and work towards recommendation of a resolutionJob RequirementsBachelor's degree in civil engineering or related fieldRegistered Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas5+ years of Construction, Engineering, Inspection (CEI) experience for Water/Wastewater and Municipal projects5+ years of Construction Project Management experience for Water/Wastewater and Municipal projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels in an organization.Some of our Benefits:401k Match: 100% up to 4% of your contributions with immediate vesting + 3% Safe Harbor Contribution with immediate vestingMerit-Based Bonus CompensationMedical, Dental, Vision Insurance; BGE contributes to HSA on eligible plans9 paid Holidays, including 3 Floating holidaysPersonal Time Allowances2 to 4 weeks of Vacation, depending on experience-level.
