Project Manager (Cloud Migration)Location: Grand Rapids, MI – hybrid (must be willing to relocate and work onsite day 1 of project)Long term contractJob Description:Managed a cloud migration project from on-prem to cloud (preferably Azure)The ideal candidate for this role has 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience. Manages the entire project lifecycle from project definition through implementation. Accountable for meeting agreed upon scope, cost, schedule, and quality measures.
Develops project plan and drives project milestones. Establishes effective communication plan with project team and key stakeholders. Provides day-to-day direction to project resources.
Ensures effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project. Responsible for preparation of documentation, status reports, and budgets. Role requires excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, judgment, leadership, decision-making, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Specialized knowledge of MS Project, Visio, Excel, Word.Experience with working alongside a third-party/vendor project managerExperience working with vendorsExcellent communicator being able to present and meet with Director and VP levelsExperience with large projects that span multiple departments, including IT and businessBackground in Cloud and Infrastructure technologies.The ability to understand the technology enough to translate business requirements or challenges to the IT team.Very detail oriented and manages with clarity and appropriate escalations
