Job Description

The Project Manager is involved in the entire scope of the project, from initiation through close-out, and is responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, control, and close-out of complex projects. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and the ability to navigate and resolve the complex, often multi-functional challenges associated with large projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic project management leadership for large and complex projects
• Manage overall project scope, schedule, and cost
• Participate in design development as required within areas of core competency
• Account for key project decision-making
• Collaborate with other plant departments to resolve key functional project issues affecting planned scope, schedule, and cost
• Lead the overall project through coaching, conflict resolution, facilitation, motivation, and negotiation
• Lead project meetings including specification and drawing reviews, bid meetings, progress meetings, and PSSRs
• Develop, update, manage, and publish the project plan
• Coordinate communication and provide status updates to stakeholders as required
• Assess project risk and proactively develop mitigation plans
• Proactively manage project requests for information and action items
• Lead the project through all internal and external processes, including FEL, change orders, and other client-required business processes
• Ensure availability of, or seek out, adequate resources to support the project
• Analyze problems and identify alternative solutions
• Forecast consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations supporting scope, schedule, and cost objectives
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with plant employees and outside contractors
• Demonstrate strong leadership, xhqgsiq verbal and written communication, time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Consistently produce results that meet goals, maintain high work standards, and demonstrate an understanding of the client’s business environment and processes
