We are seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to support our Global Society Relations team through a busy and high-visibility period. You will provide project management leadership across several priority, cross-functional initiatives that strengthen our partnership with Societies around the world. You will be accountable for project health, including plans, tracking, governance, and reporting, while subject-matter experts across the organization own the content of their deliverables. This is an ideal role for a skilled PM who enjoys bringing structure, momentum, and clarity to complex programs involving many stakeholders.
What you will do
- Lead launch planning for a growing membership program. Manage integrated plans, dependencies, risks, and decision logs for successive waves of societies joining a new associate membership offering, including readiness tracking, communications and onboarding schedules, and post-launch stabilization.
- Drive a regional market action plan. Finalize workstream charters, stand up and support a steering committee, and track multiple workstreams through a consolidated milestone and dependency plan for the U.S. and Canada.
- Support global society engagement. Maintain engagement plans and progress reporting for society involvement in strategic initiatives.
- Keep everything on track and visible. Maintain action, decision, and risk logs and project records in Confluence and SharePoint, and prepare clear progress reporting for senior leaders and steering committees.
- Follow up and close out. Drive accountability with colleagues across the organization, close out open items, and take ownership of existing project records.
- Pitch in on strategic priorities. As capacity allows, support time-bound strategic initiatives and select process development projects.
What you bring
- Proven experience managing several concurrent, cross-functional programs or projects
- The presence and credibility to work with senior stakeholders and drive accountability without direct authority
- Strong command of governance rhythms, including steering committees, project charters, RAID logs, and executive reporting
- Proficiency with Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach
- Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, global environment
Nice to have
- Experience in a nonprofit, membership organization, or federated or volunteer-led network
- Project management certification (such as PMP) or equivalent professional training
Hourly Rate - 40-45hr
