Public Works Project ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Public Works Project Manager to join our Operations team. This role is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, execution, and successful completion of commercial construction projects in alignment with company standards, schedules, and client expectations.The ideal candidate will have experience managing public works or public agency projects and will oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client communication from project initiation through completion. This position plays a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with design documents and contract requirements.Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage, plan, and direct all activities related to assigned construction projectsProvide leadership, direction, and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycleEnsure all project goals are executed in accordance with design documents and construction schedulesDevelop and manage CPM project schedules to track progress and maintain timelinesManage project budgets, including oversight of any self-performed workMonitor project costs and ensure financial objectives are achievedPrepare and submit owner billings accurately and on scheduleEnsure timely submission and execution of owner change orders and schedule updatesDe-scope subcontractors and develop thorough and complete subcontract agreementsMaintain regular communication with subcontractors to ensure timely and quality performanceCoordinate subcontractor activities to maintain schedule and project milestonesNegotiate and communicate with owners and public entities throughout the projectMaintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholdersProvide updates on project progress, schedule, and budget performanceImplement and manage quality assurance procedures to ensure project standards are metEnsure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standardsMaintain knowledge of commonly used field concepts, practices, and procedures within commercial constructionParticipate in project procurement activities including business development, marketing, preconstruction, and estimatingSupport project planning efforts and contribute to the successful acquisition of new projectsQualifications & RequirementsMinimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager with a Commercial General ContractorPrevious experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Manager on public works or public agency projectsExperience managing construction schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordinationStrong communication and negotiation skills when working with owners, subcontractors, and public entitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office programsExperience working on Clark County School District (CCSD), UNLV, or similar public agency projectsExperience with construction management software including Procore, Timberline, and P6 scheduling (or similar tools)Project experience within sectors such as Office, Education, Retail, Federal/Municipal, Hospitality/Casino, Sports & Recreation, Parking Structures, or Tenant Improvement/RenovationsStrong organizational and time management skillsSelf-motivated, reliable, and detail-orientedTeam-oriented mindset with a willingness to support critical deadlines and project demandsDedicated to delivering high-quality work and contributing to team successWork EnvironmentMay be required to work onsite at active construction projectsWork environments may include job trailers and active construction sites with typical construction noiseBenefitsMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife Insurance401(k) with company matchParental LeavePaid Time Off (PTO)Paid HolidaysLong-term Disability InsuranceShort-term Disability InsuranceSupplemental Insurance
