Project ManagerLocation: California, United States Duration: Contract/FulltimeProject Manager Role Description Responsibilities:Ensure that all contractual requirements, work products, and deliverables are metEnsure that projects are completed on schedule and within budgetDevelop and update a detailed project plan; develop all project management plans; manage resources; schedule activities; write status reports; manage risks; manage change control; and facilitate team and customer meetingsEstablish strong working relationship with customer and serve as the primary customer contact. Manage communications both internally (among team members and subcontractors) and with customers, including meeting facilitation, documentation, etc.Develop and maintain documents in SharePoint and schedules for projects using MS ProjectDevelop and maintain risk analysis documents, including risk containment strategies and contingency plansEnsure all aspects of the project life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, implementation and documentation, are completed per required timeframesContribute to a high-performing, motivated work group by applying interpersonal communication and collaboration skills to achieve project goalsMonitor, evaluate, and report on project performance (budget, cost, schedule, scope, quality, risk, and issue) and financial statusQualifications:Minimum of a Bachelor's degree10+ years of hands on project management experience8+ years of IT SDLC project and program management experiencePrior experience working or managing IT Projects and successful implementations with project values up to $15MMRecent experience managing and monitoring all capital/operating expenditures for all phases of a projectAbility to inspire continual improvement, instill team empowerment and transparency on projectsAbility to influence Executive Steering Committee (DE/DRB) members in understanding and executing projects using SDLC/Agile methodologyDemonstrated ability to manage diverse project teams incorporating both internal and external stakeholdersStrong facilitation skills. Ability to facilitate and maintain communications between multiple work groups, including customers, vendors, and technical and functional staff ensuring increased awareness of project status of all stakeholdersResults oriented focus with proven ability to deliver against challenging deadlinesPreferred Qualifications:Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)Proficiency with MS Project, MS PPM - PMP/CSM certifications a plus
